Hello! My name is Hasnain Jawed, and I am an architectural designer, researcher & urban analyst. I received my Bachelor of Architecture from NCA Lahore; with an overall distinction. I have also received trainings and CPD’s related to Affordable Housing, Computational Design, Heterogeneous Urban Interventions & TOD-Transit Oriented Development.

At present, I enjoy researching and developing on the issues of Architecture & Built Environment, Placemaking, and Design Responsiveness.

As a designer, I am always ready to learn from complex issues to develop sustainable & equitable design solutions. My designs evolve through step-by-step analysis of data; creating a syntax based on the Iterative methods. My work is light-on-the-eye and embodies a bespoke character rooted in critical regionalism.

When I'm not working, you'll find me exploring the the phenomenology of everyday life. I like to celebrate the status quo of cultural normalcy. Where I contribute with guest-lectures, design-workshops, and as External Critic to the projects of undergraduate students of Architecture & Design.

I have received NCA Merit Scholarship for three consecutive years; & was placed on Dean’s Honors list for one year. I have received a Special Prize at the 27th National Science Competition, and a runners-up award in the 16th Annual Iqbal Declamation Cycle by the HEC on the provincial level.

I am presently working as Principal of Design & Practice with IAA (Pvt Ltd.).
